Butler University Athletics

Class of 1950: Wood played basketball and baseball at Butler. He also coached for 22 years. He is best remembered for coaching Milan High School to a victory over Muncie Central in the 1954 Indiana High School Championship game which was the idea for the movie, Hoosiers. He is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
