Darren Fowlkes

Fowlkes was a member of the men's basketball team from 1986-89. He became the first player in Butler basketball history to lead the Bulldogs in scoring, rebounding and assists in the same season (1988-89). Fowlkes currently ranks sixth all-time at Butler in rebounds (748) and 11th in career scoring (1,543). At the end of his career, Fowlkes was the only player in BU history to rank in the all-time Top 10 in points, rebounds and assists. A First-Team All-MCC selection in 1988-89, Fowlkes took home second-team honors the previous two seasons. He led the team and the MCC in field goal percentage in 1986-87, by connecting on 53 percent of his attempts. He led BU in rebounding in three of his four years on campus and holds a share of the single-game blocks record with seven vs. Indiana State (1986). A team MVP and captain, Fowlkes scored 526 points in his senior season. He played professionally in Europe after leaving campus.
