Butler University Athletics

Abts was a member of the 1940 ICC All-Conference Football Team. A 1941 graduate, Hank ran 40 yards for a touchdown to defeat Ohio and preserve Butler's undefeated season in 1939. He earned a starting position as a sophomore and lettered three-straight years (1938, 1939 and 1940). He played both offense and defense and was the team's punter.  Abts also played basketball and baseball at Butler.
