Nick Batalis

Batalis was a talented offensive lineman on the football team from 1995-98. He helped lead the way for four consecutive 1,000-yard rushers by starting in 40 consecutive games (every game of his collegiate career). Batalis was a two-time All-Pioneer Football League First-Team selection (1997, 1998) and was a Second-Team honoree as a sophomore in 1996. He was Butler's Co-Most Valuable Offensive Player as a center in 1998, and received honorable mention accolades on the 1997 Football Gazette I-AA All-American Team. Off the field, Batalis was an exceptional student in the classroom. Academic honors included three straight years as a member of the PFL All-Academic Team, making the 1998 Division I-AA Athletics Directors Association Academic All-Star Team, and being tabbed CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-America in 1998.
