CHICAGO - Five lifetime bests and five season best times highlighted Butler's third day at the Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships at UIC. The league meet concludes Saturday night.
"I was very pleased with both our individual and relay performances today," head coach Maurice Stewart said. "Everyone stepped up and contributed to the teams success by staying focused and competitive throughout the prelim session which resulted in multiple lifetime and season best times."
Individually, BU made its biggest impact in the 100 breast. Two Bulldog swimmers - Allie Qualls (1:23.23) and Alyson Fosnot (1:17.27) - set lifetime marks. Two more - Megan Wesler and Momo Wilson - posted season best times while Wesler's mark of 1:08.26 was the 5th best mark in Butler swimming history.
"I was especially impressed with Megan Wesler's 100 breaststroke (1:08.26) performance," Stewart said. "She swam a smart, solid race, which resulted in qualifying for finals and adding to the team's point total."
The 800 free relay team (Wesler, Stephanie Moles, Kyle Johannsen, Nikki Weston) also posted a notable performance, clocking 8:15.21. That time was just short of the top 5 mark in school history.
Here is a list of some additional notable performances from Friday night's swimming action:

Stephanie Moles - Season best - 2:03.71
Jessica Onstwedder - Lifetime best - 1:17.12
