Bulldogs Post Two Wins At Gladstein Invitational
BLOOMINGTON, IND. -- Juniors Craig Jordan and Alex Berry both posted individual wins to pace the Butler men's and women's track teams at the Gladstein Invitational, which wrapped up at Gladstein Fieldhouse on Saturday (Jan. 19). The two-day, non-scoring meet was hosted by Indiana University.
Jordan won the men's 800 Invitational race, edging Jordan Gornall of Indiana and teammate Tom Curr. Jordan's winning time of 1:53.63 was just 0:00.02 ahead of Gornall. Curr was right behind in third place in 1:53.69.
Berry won the men's 400 in 49.22, narrowly missing his school record of 49.14. The Butler junior also placed third in the men's 600 in 1:22.27, just shy of his own school record of 1:22.1). Butler sophomore Andrew Wallace placed sixth in the men's 600 in 1:24.17.
The Bulldogs also picked up a fourth place finish from junior Tom Anderson in the men's 3,000. He posted a time of 8:20.70. Sophomore Nicole Hudec finished seventh in the women's triple jump with a leap of 11.12 meters, while junior Kirsty Legg placed eighth in the women's 800 Invitational in 2:17.17.
