Six Bulldogs Compete At Grand Valley Meet
Butler came away with a pair of lifetime best performances and a couple of near misses at the Grand Valley State Second To Last Chance Meet on Saturday, May 12. The Bulldogs had six runners competing in the team’s final event before the NCAA Regionals, May 24-26.

Butler Women Fifth, Men Sixth At League Championship
Butler picked up a pair of individual titles and broke a pair of school records, while battling the weather and the rest of the league at the 2012 Horizon League Track and Field Championship which ended on Sunday, May 6. Butler’s women wound up fifth and the Butler men came in sixth in the weather-shortened meet.

Butler University To Join Atlantic 10 Conference
Butler University will join the Atlantic 10 Conference beginning with the 2013-2014 season, President James M. Danko announced today. The move will cover all Butler athletic teams except football, which will remain in the Pioneer League, and woman’s golf.

Butler Successfully Unveils New Track
Butler’s track and field squads unveiled the newly-renovated Butler Track at the Davey Athletic Complex in impressive fashion on Saturday, April 28. The Bulldogs recorded 14 individual victories in a three-team meet with IUPUI and IPFW.

Bulldogs Host Stan Lyons Invitational On Campus
For the first time since 1998, Butler will host a track and field competition on campus. The Bulldogs will meet IPFW and IUPUI in the Stan Lyons Invitational at the newly-renovated Butler Outdoor Track at the Davey Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 28.

Clark, Love Named Academic All-League
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Butler distance runners Katie Clark and Kaitlyn Love have been named to the 2011-12 Horizon League Women’s Indoor Track and Field Academic All-League Team, released by the league office on Tuesday, April 24. The two were among 16 female track and field athletes chosen to the winter academic honor squad.

Records Highlight Busy Track Weekend
Butler’s track and field squads, competing in two states over four days, recorded several top individual efforts, including a pair of school records. The Bulldogs had a contingent of runners in California at the Mt. Sac Relays and a second crew in Bloomington, Ind., at the Polytan Invitational, and both groups had notable performances.

Shelbi Burnett Earns Horizon League Track Honor
Junior Shelbi Burnett, who won the women’s 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Pacesetter Invitational, has been named Horizon League Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the period April 9-15. She’s the first member of the women’s team at Butler to earn the league honor during the 2012 outdoor season.
