Butler Sweeps Horizon League Cross Country Titles
The Butler men’s cross country team continued its league dominance and Butler’s women re-emerged as a conference power with a sweep of the men’s and women’s titles at the 2009 Horizon League Cross Country Championship at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Mich., on Saturday (Oct. 31).

Bulldogs Begin Stretch Run At Horizon League Championship
Butler will begin the final and most important segment of its cross country campaign at the 2009 Horizon League Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Oct. 31. The league meet will held at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Mich., beginning with the men’s championship race at 11 a.m. The women’s championship will follow at noon.

Andy Baker Honored By Horizon League
Butler All-American Andy Baker, who again established himself as one of the top male runners in the nation at the ISU Pre-National Invitational, has been named Horizon League Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week for the period October 12-18. It’s the third time this season he’s been honored by the league.

Andy Baker Places Runner-Up At Pre-National Invitational
Senior Andy Baker turned in a strong individual performance and wound up finishing second in an elite field of runners at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute on Saturday (Oct. 17). Butler’s men placed 13th in the competition, while Butler’s women came in 19th.

Bulldogs Join Top Teams At Pre-Nationals Invitational
The Butler cross country teams will have a chance to run on the NCAA Division I National Meet course against some of the top teams in the nation at the 2009 Indiana State University Pre-Nationals Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 17). A total of 147 teams will gather for the competition at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute.

Baker, Clark Earn Horizon League Cross Country Honors
Butlers duo of All-American Andy Baker and freshman Katie Clark have been named Horizon League Cross Country Athletes of the Week for the period September 28-October 4. Each turned in a top performance at the recent Notre Dame Invitational.

Butler Men Tie For Third; Women 13th At Notre Dame Invitational
All-American Andy Baker placed third in the individual competition and Butler’s men tied for third in the team race at the 54th running of the Notre Dame Invitational cross country meet on Friday (Oct. 2). Butler’s women also turned in a strong performance and placed 13th in the women’s competiton.

Bulldogs Face Top-Ranked Competition At Notre Dame
Butler’s cross country squads will be tested by some of the top teams in the nation at the 54th running of the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday (Oct. 2). The Bulldogs will compete in the featured Blue Division races starting at 4:15 p.m. (ET) on the Notre Dame Golf Course.
