2009 - Freshman Season: Named to Horizon League
All-Newcomer team...voted by his teammates as BU's newcomer of the
year...led team in wins (3), innings pitched (70.1) and strikeouts
(59)...made 17 appearances, including seven starts...pitched 7.0
shutout innings to pick up first college win vs. Wabash (April
7)...struck out nine over 7.0 innings against UIC (April
11)...pitched 7.2 innings and fanned nine at Cleveland State (April
17)...allowed just one run over 7.1 innings to get the win against
Youngstown State (April 26)...picked up a win at Cincinnati (May
6)...struck out seven in final start of the year, vs. Wright State
(May 20).
High School: Posted a 7-1 record and a 3.14 ERA
during his senior year at Crown Point High School...helped the team
to a 29-3 record as a junior and a 28-5 mark as a senior...the team
earned sectional and regional championships both seasons...member
