It's been a busy offseason at Bulldog Park, with six new additions/upgrades coming to the facility. Improvements have been made on the field, with some fan-experience improvements coming soon.
The Butler baseball program may be playing on one of the finest playing surfaces around in 2011. Surrounding home plate, there is a new artificial turf halo, with newly-planted sod around it. New sod was also placed around infield and pitcher mound. Also, Bulldogs infielders will enjoy the new laser-graded infield skin. There is also a netting around the backstop behind home plate.
Coming soon are netting and fencing in foul territory down the left field line. The netting will protect fans taking in the game near the patio area which will be constructed in time for the 2011 season.
