DAYTON, Ohio - The Butler baseball team scored four times in the 3rd inning to defeat Dayton 7-2 on Sunday, completing a three-game sweep of the Flyers.

Senior Jack Dillon and freshman Mike Kseniak each drove in two runs. Billy Laing pitched six innings for the win, allowing just one run on four hits.

The Bulldogs (17-15, 7-5) tallied five hits in the inning, as junior Marco Caponi started the rally by singling with one out. He scored on a Dillon single. Sophomore Michael Fries had an RBI single and scored and Kseniak finished the inning with an RBI single to center field.

Dillon pulled a ball out of the park in the top of the 5th and Fries singled and scored again, giving Butler a 6-1 lead. Senior Pat Gelwicks smacked an RBI double in the top of the 8th.

The sweep of the Flyers was Butler's second league series sweep this year. Butler also won three games at VCU in A-10 play. 

Butler will play at Indiana State Tuesday, April 16. The Bulldogs play a three-game series against Indiana this weekend. BU is in Bloomington April 19-20 and hosts IU at Bulldog Park Sunday, April 21.
