Miles Miller came to Butler in the fall of 2012, joining Steve Farley's staff as a volunteer assistant. He will serve as Butler's pitching coach. Miller came to Butler after two seasons as an assistant at Philadelphia University.

Miller managed the pitching staff at Philadelphia and was also named the team's recruiting coordinator in August 2011. He was promoted to associate head coach just after the 2012 season.

Prior to his stint at Philadelphia, Miller was an assistant coach at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Conn. While at AMC, he worked with the team's infielders and one of his players was named all-conference.

Miller, a native of Tahoe City, Calif., has an extensive background in summer collegiate baseball. He recently was pitching coach for the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League in 2012. He has also coached the New Bayford Sox and the Torrington Titans. At Torrington, Miller saw two of his pitchers be selected in the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft. 

Miller played baseball at San Diego Mesa College and earned a bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University in 2007.
