Jeff Brown begins his fourth season as a member of the Butler coaching staff in 2010.
Brown entered the coaching ranks at the start of the 2007 season after a five-year playing career as an infielder under Bulldogs head coach Steve Farley. He works primarily with Bulldog hitters and position players.
A four-year letterwinner with the Bulldogs, Brown hit .295 with 12 doubles, four home runs and 27 RBI his senior season. He closed his collegiate career with a .276 batting average, 31 doubles and 11 home runs. His 217 at bats in 2006 set the Butler single-season record, and his 54 starts in 54 games led the team.
He continued his playing career in the professional ranks in the spring of 2007, signing a contract to play with the Traverse City (Mich.) Beach Bums of the Frontier League.
Additionally, Brown is currently pursuing his Master's Degree at Butler.
