Butler Basketball Returns To MyINDY-TV

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Butler basketball, coming off a stunning run to the NCAA National Championship game, will return to My-INDY-TV, channel 23, in 2010-11.  For the third straight season, MyINDY-TV will bring the Bulldogs to local television viewers all across Central Indiana with live broadcasts both from historical Hinkle Fieldhouse and on the road.

“The Butler basketball program had a phenomenal run this season.  We took great pride in showing Central Indiana the Butler way from the season tip off on MyINDY-TV to end of the season on WISH-TV,” said Jeff White president and general manager of MyINDY-TV and WISH-TV.  “We look forward to our 3rd year of a successful partnership and another great season together.”

Butler finished its season ranked #2 in the Coaches’ Poll, after a dream season in which the Bulldogs went 33-5.   The team captured the Horizon League regular season and tournament championships and was the only team to go unbeaten in any conference this season.

“We appreciate and value our partnership with MyINDY-TV and WISH-TV and we look forward to our games being televised locally on MyINDY-TV again next season,” said Brad Stevens, Butler head coach.

33-year-old Zionsville, Indiana native Brad Stevens heads into his fourth season as Butler’s Head Coach.  Stevens holds the record for the most wins by any coach in his first three years on the bench, with 89 victories.  Stevens’ career record is an amazing 89-15, and he is the first men’s basketball coach in Butler history to lead the Bulldogs to a 30 win season.

Last season MyINDY-TV broadcast 13 Butler Basketball games. A complete schedule for this season will be released at a later date.  24-Hour News 8 Sports Director Anthony Calhoun will provide game play-by-play, with longtime Butler Basketball radio color commentator, Ralph Reiff, providing analysis.

MyINDY-TV, a My Network affiliate, is a sister station to WISH-TV.   MyINDY-TV broadcasts over-the-air on channel 23 and on channel 10 on most cable systems.  A complete cable listing can be found at www.INDYTV.com.
