Butler Mens Basketball Moves to 1070 The Fan

Indianapolis - Butler University has selected
Emmis Communications’ 1070 The Fan as the new radio home of
Butler Men’s Basketball. The multi-year deal
begins in the fall of 2010 and includes all exhibition, regular
season and post-season games.
“Butler is so pleased to announce that beginning this coming
season, our men’s basketball games will be broadcast on 1070
The Fan,” said Butler Director of Athletics Barry
Collier. “We are delighted with the Butler – 1070
The Fan partnership and know that our fans will enjoy
listening to the Bulldogs games on Indianapolis’ leading
sports radio station. Due to the outstanding strength of The
Fan’s signal, more Butler fans will listen to the Dogs than
ever before!”
“The entire country became fans of our hometown heroes last
year during Butler’s storied NCAA run to the Championship
game,” Charlie Morgan, VP/Market Manager of
Emmis-Indianapolis said. “We’re thrilled they
have chosen to partner with the leader in Indianapolis’
sports radio.”
With JMV, Dan Dakich, Big Joe, Coach Bob Lovell, The Indiana

FM.
Butler is coming off a record-setting men’s basketball
campaign. The Bulldogs compiled a school-record 33-5 season,
captured Horizon League regular season and tournament
championships, won the West Regional title in the NCAA Tournament
and made Butler’s first appearance in the Final Four.
Head coach Brad Stevens’ squad finished as the national
runner-up and ended the 2009-10 season as the No. 2-ranked team in
the final ESPN/USA Today national poll.
