Basketball Season Tickets On Sale
Season tickets for the 2012-13 Butler Basketball season are now on sale, featuring 18 games at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. The campaign includes the Bulldogs' inaugural season in the powerful Atlantic 10 Conference, plus exciting non-conference matchups.
This season, the Athletic Department has adjusted the seating and pricing options to give fans more options. Seven different price options will be offered – starting at just $225, or less than $13 per game – and a considerable number of seats now cost less than they did a year ago. Lower level chairback seats will sell for $589 ($32.72 per game).
Head Coach Brad Stevens' 12 returning letter-winners gained invaluable experience during last year's season, which resulted in a seventh straight year with at least 20 wins. Seniors Andrew Smith and juniors Khyle Marshall and Chrishawn Hopkins were the Bulldogs' top three scoring threats last year. The team will welcome three freshmen to the roster and newly eligible Arkansas transfer Rotnei Clarke.
Included in the home schedule are Atlantic 10 Conference games with four teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year (Xavier, Saint Louis, Temple and Saint Bonaventure). Richmond and Charlotte, which have combined for seven NCAA appearances since 2000, also will visit Hinkle. Duquesne and Rhode Island round out Butler's home A-10 contests and will travel to Hinkle with new head coaches.
The non-conference slate is highlighted by a January weekend game with Gonzaga and also includes three in-state foes, Ball State, Evansville and IUPUI. The Bulldogs will open the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 10 against Elon in an EA Sports Maui Invitational Opening Game after playing a pair exhibition games at home. The entire home and road schedule will be officially released near the beginning of the fall semester.
