Bulldogs Begin Home Stretch Against North Dakota
Butler, coming off its longest road trip of the season, won’t leave Indiana again until 2014. The Bulldogs will begin a stretch of six straight games in the Hoosier State with a contest against North Dakota at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. (ET). The non-conference game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports 1.

Kellen Dunham Named All-Tournament At Old Spice Classic
Butler sophomore Kellen Dunham, who set a tournament single game scoring record, was named to the five-player All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the Old Spice Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Sunday (Dec. 1). The Bulldogs wound up finishing fourth in the eight-team event.

Butler Falls In Overtime At Old Spice Classic
LSU came from behind to tie the game at the end of regulation and then took control in overtime to hand Butler a 70-68 setback in the third place game at the Old Spice Classic on Sunday (Dec. 1). It was Butler’s second straight two-point loss in the tournament.

Butler will close out its week in Florida when it meets LSU in the third place game of the Old Spice Classic on Sunday (Dec. 1). The consolation game in HP Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will start at 2 p.m. (ET) and will be televised on ESPNU.

#5 Oklahoma State Edges Butler
Butler took one of the best teams in the nation right to the wire, but missed on a couple of opportunities down the stretch and wound up falling to #5 Oklahoma State, 69-67, in the semifinals of the Old Spice Classic on Friday (Nov. 29). The setback was Butler’s first in six games this season.

Butler will face a Top 10-ranked team for the first time since last January when it meets #5 Oklahoma State in the second round of the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla. The tournament semifinal game at HP Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will start a 1:30 p.m. (ET) and will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Butler Wins Old Spice Opener
Kellen Dunham set a new tournament scoring record and Khyle Marshall tied the old tournament mark to lead Butler to a 76-69 victory over Washington State in the first round of the Old Spice Classic on Thanksgiving Day. The victory advances Butler to a second-round game with No. 5 Oklahoma State on Friday (Nov. 29).

Bulldogs Slip Past Ball State
On a day when shots weren’t falling, Butler turned to its defense to pull out a 59-58 come-from-behind victory over Ball State. The win on Saturday (Nov. 23) at Ball State’s Worthen Arena lifted the Bulldogs to 4-0 on the young season.

The Butler men’s basketball team scored their first overtime victory of the season Tuesday night with a 85-77 victory over Vanderbilt at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Bulldogs are now 3-0 on the young season and do not play another home game until December 7.

The Butler men's basketball team survived a last second shot and improved to 2-0 on the season with a 70-67 win over Princeton at Hinkle Fieldhouse Saturday night. The Bulldogs improved to 3-0 all time against Princeton.

Junior Andrew Smeathers has announced that he is leaving the Butler men’s basketball program. Smeathers, who’s been with the Bulldogs for two seasons, will complete his fall semester at Butler and then transfer to another school.

Butler junior Roosevelt Jones has begun the recovery phase, following surgery on Thursday (Aug. 22) to repair an injury to his left wrist. Jones, the Bulldogs’ top returning scorer, rebounder and assist man, suffered the season-ending injury on Butler’s recent basketball exhibition trip to Australia.

Butler found itself with an early deficit for the second time in 24 hours, and the Bulldogs wound up dropping a 97-73 decision to the Cairns Taipans in an exhibition game on Sunday (August 11). The game was the final of four contests on Butler’s tour of Australia.

The Australian Boomers, featuring the nation’s best players, jumped to an early lead and then pulled away to a 96-57 victory over Butler in an exhibition game in Canberra on Saturday (Aug. 10). It was Butler’s third game in Australia and the team’s first setback.

Forward Kameron Woods sparked a late fourth quarter surge and helped lead Butler to an 82-76 come-from-behind victory over the Sydney Kings in an exhibition game at Newington College on Thursday, Aug. 8. The contest was the second of four games the Bulldogs will play during their tour of Australia.

Kellen Dunham scored a game-high 22 points and Eric Fromm added 14 to lead Butler to a 77-65 victory over Norths Bears Invitational Team in the first game of a four-game Australia tour on Tuesday (Aug. 6). The exhibition contest was played just one day after the Bulldogs arrived in Sydney, following an 18-hour flight from the United States.
