Devontae Morgan Departs Butler Basketball Team

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Sophomore guard Devontae Morgan has requested and been granted a release from the Butler men's basketball program, and he will seek to transfer to another school.  The 6-3 guard from Tampa, Fla., recently completed his second season with the Bulldogs.

"We appreciate the effort and hard work that Devonate has put forth over the past two years, and we wish him well in the future," said Butler head coach Brandon Miller.

Morgan, who joined the Bulldogs in 2012-13, played in 14 games this past season and averaged 1.8 points and 0.9 rebounds.  He played in 18 games during his freshman season, averaging 0.8 points and 0.4 rebounds.
