CHICAGO (AP) - Majak Kou had 24 points and Blake Schilb added 22 as Loyola of Chicago exploded in the final minutes for a 74-64 Horizon League victory over Butler on Thursday night.
The Ramblers (11-6, 3-4) shot 63 percent from the field, hitting 30 of 48 tries, but Butler (9-7, 2-2) stayed close with 10 3-pointers and committed only five turnovers.
Butler jumped to a 18-11 lead early, but the Ramblers went on a 17-3 run to grab a 28-21 lead with four minutes left in the first half.
Butler never led in the second half but did tie the game at 36 early in the period.
Loyola moved ahead to stay on a short jumper by Schilb with 17:36 left. Butler pulled within one point twice.
Loyola held only a 68-64 lead going into the final minute, but Chris Logan drove a 3-pointer with 49.5 seconds left and Kou added a field goal and two free throws off fast breaks to seal the game.
Logan was also in double figures for Loyola with 11. The Ramblers held a 33-23 margin in rebounding.
