YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Dominique Crawford made two foul shots with 28 seconds left - his only points of the game - to help Youngstown State to a 64-62 victory over Butler on Saturday night.
Butler (9-8, 2-3 Horizon League), which led by as many as eight points in the second half, took its final lead at 62-61 on Avery Sheets' 3-pointer with 49 seconds left.
After Keston Roberts missed a jumper with 38 seconds left, Roberts rebounded his miss and Crawford was fouled with 28 seconds left. He hit both free throws for the Penguins (6-11, 3-4).
Brandon Polk, who led the Bulldogs with 26 points, turned the ball over with 8 seconds left, forcing Butler to foul. Quin Humphrey, who had 17 points and 14 rebounds, missed both foul shots with 6 seconds left. Crawford rebounded the second miss and passed to Derrick Harris, who hit another free throw with 3 seconds remaining.
A.J. Graves missed a long 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Roberts led the Penguins with 23 points. Youngstown State held a 41-22 advantage in rebounding.
Bruce Horan had 18 points for the Bulldogs.
