Bulldogs Drop Final Game At Davidson, 50-10

Quarterback Ryan Alexander passed for 347 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Davidson to a 50-10 Pioneer Football League victory over Butler at Richardson Stadium in Davidson, N.C., on Saturday, Nov. 11. It was the final 2006 game for both teams. Davidson improved to 6-4 on the year and 5-2 in the PFL, while Butler fell to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in league play.
Alexander completed 22 of 33 passes in the game. He hit Ryan Hubbard with touchdown passes of 55 and 59 yards and tossed a four-yard scoring pass to Jackson Whetsel. Jonathon Hubbard added touchdown runs of two yards and one yard for the home team.
Davidson led 15-0 at halftime and then put the game out of reach with three third quarter touchdowns. The Wildcats stretched their lead to 43-0 before Butler broke into the scoring column on a four-yard touchdown run by Derek North in the final period.
Sophomore Jordan Quiroz closed Butler's scoring with a 24-yard field goal, his ninth of the year.
North finished with 55 yards on 12 rushing attempts, and he added 30 yards on four pass receptions. Senior quarterback Ryan Diggins, starting in place of injured T. J. Brown, completed 17 of 32 passes for 139 yards in the game, and sophomore wide receiver Dan Bohrer finished with six receptions for 66 yards.
