Bulldogs Finish 14th At Wolf Run Intercollegiate
ZIONSVILLE, IND. -- Butler faced a tough field at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate golf tournament and wound up placing 14th in the final team standings. The 54-hole tournament at Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind., concluded on Sunday (Sept. 16).
Seniors Andrew Wegeng and Colin Reenan paced the Bulldogs with 54-hole totals of 241. Wegeng carded rounds of 79, 81 and 81, while Reenan shot rounds of 75, 87 and 79 to share 73rd place in the final individual standings.
Sophomore Andrew Eiler came in 78th with rounds of 82, 78 and 89 (249), while sophomore Logan Holt finished one stroke back and in a tie for 79th place. Holt shot an 80 in the opening round and then posted back-to-back rounds of 85. Freshman Corbin Sellers came in 81st with rounds of 92, 85 and 82 (259).
Illinois captured the team title with a three-over-par 855, three strokes ahead of runner-up Indiana. The tournament field also included Ohio State, Texas Tech, Kentucky, Michigan State and Wisconsin.
The Bulldogs' next action will be at the Butler Fall Invitational on Oct. 8-9.
