Don Benbow, who worked as an administrator in Butler's athletic department for 36 years, currently serves as an assistant coach for men's and women's golf.
Benbow's name is synonymous with Butler University. He played football at BU during the early 1960s, serving as team captain and leading the Bulldogs to a three-year 26-1 record. He was recipient of the Hilton Brown Award, was Butler's third Little All-American, an all-conference player and Indianapolis News MVP.
Benbow, who was inducted into the Butler Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995, is a member of the Delaware County Hall of Fame and the Indiana Football Hall of Fame. His 36-year tenure in the Butler athletic department included 16 years as an assistant football coach.
Benbow graduated from Butler in 1963.
