2013: Started eight games as a freshman and appeared in 12 total. Took two shots on the season.
Witsken, a graduate of Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, is described as a tough, athletic defender with special leadership qualities. Witsken graduated early from Carmel, in December, and immediately enrolled at Butler and was a part of the men's soccer team 2013 spring program. He came out of high school as the 20th best recruit in the Great Lakes Region, according to TopDrawerSoccer. He was a three year member of the Indiana Fire Academy in the Development Academy League and a two-time captain.
"I decided that Butler was the right place for me to play and study based on their excellent academic and athletic programs. The personalities and goals of the players and coaches were a perfect match with my own," Witsken said of Butler.
