2008-09 – Junior Season: Started 19 of
the season’s 25 matches at No. 1 singles…tabbed
Horizon League Tennis Athlete of the Week (3/24)…finished
the year 9-21 in singles play while often playing the top players
from around the Midwest…went 2-2 in singles play versus
league foes…enjoyed a strong season in doubles, posting a
16-12 record…totaled an 11-8 mark in dual doubles play, with
a 6-5 ledger at No. 2 doubles and 5-3 in the third spot…won
his final seven doubles matches of the season, with five of those
wins coming with teammate Lenz Theodor.
2007-08 - Sophomore Season: Named to the
All-Horizon League First Team...three-time Horizon League Player of
the Week (Feb. 27, March 25 and April 8)...led the team with 19
wins in singles play, finishing the year with a 19-18
record...played mostly at No. 2 singles, posting a 10-7 record at
the position...went 3-5 at No. 1 singles...recorded a 4-2 mark
against conference foes...won five of his final six singles matches
of the year, including a pair in the Horizon League
Championship...scored five-straight victories from Feb. 9-29...went
16-16 in doubles play, including a 13-15 mark when playing with
Bryce Warren...tallied an 11-9 mark at No. 2 doubles...went 3-3 in
league play...won nine of his final 12 doubles bouts of the year.
2006-07 - Freshman Season: Finished as one of
the top rookies in the Horizon League, playing mostly at No. 4
singles...went 9-9 at No. 4...tallied a 13-17 record overall in
singles play...competed as high as No. 2 singles, falling in one
match...teamed with James Low at No. 1 doubles...posted a 17-12
doubles record, including a perfect 6-0 at No. 2...finished with a
7-9 mark at No. 1.
