Sarah Hamm To Miss 2012-13 Season With Injury

INDIANAPOLIS - Sarah Hamm, an all-conference post player for the Butler women's basketball team, will miss the 2012-13 season with a torn ACL in her knee.
 
Hamm, a 6-2 junior from Winchester, Ind., led Butler in scoring (11.1), rebounding (5.5) and blocked shots (1.7) last season. She averaged 13.2 points per game in Horizon League play and was named second team all-league. Hamm posted 13 double-digit scoring outings last season, including a career-high 30 points vs. Milwaukee on Jan. 28.
 
The Bulldogs will play their first season as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference this season. The season opener is Saturday, Nov. 10 at Marquette. Butler will have seven newcomers this season among its 11 active players.
