Butler Begins Streaming Schedule with Wednesday's Media Day

Nov. 8, 2005

Butler Athletics will give fans a preview of both the men's and women's basketball teams with a free live video stream of Wednesday's (Nov. 9) Butler Basketball Media Day remarks on www.butlersports.com. Butler will also stream the women's exhibition against the Hoosier Lady Stars live Wednesday night beginning at 7:30 p.m. Fans can access the streams through the Upcoming Events heading on the main page of the site.

The video stream for media day will begin with tape-delayed remarks from Horizon League commissioner Jon LeCrone and Butler president Bobby Fong. The tape-delayed portion of the stream will begin at approximately noon and feed into live comments by women's head coach Beth Couture and men's coach Todd Lickliter. The "Voice of the Bulldogs" Chris Denari will emcee the event.

The women's team is set to play the Hoosier Lady Stars, a team of former college players from the state of Indiana including former Bulldog Cortney Urquhart, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Butler will provide a video stream with audio provided by Josh Rattray and Cory Schnurbusch. A separate audio stream is available on www.butlersports.com for fans without the required connection stream for video.

Wednesday begins www.butlersports.com's coverage of the Bulldogs for the 2005-06 season. Butler will announce its streaming schedule (both audio and video) for the upcoming non-Horizon League portion of the season later this week.

Under a new plan put in place during the offseason by the Horizon League Executive Council, all league men's and women's conference games will be available via video streaming on the league's official web site at www.horizonleague.org. All games not cleared on television will be shown live on the web through a partnership with College Sports TV Online, which also is the web provider for five league schools and the conference office.
