Bulldogs Sweep Green Bay In Dual Meet

AVON, IND. -- Butler swept the top five individual finishes and defeated Green Bay, 308-333, in a non-conference dual meet at Prestwick Country Club on Saturday, March 23.  The two-team competition was a late addition to the Butler women's golf schedule.

Jenna Peters led the Bulldogs and claimed individual honors with a two-over-par 75 for the 6,270-yard layout.  She shot a 36 on the front nine and then finished with a 39 to edge teammate Isabella Lambert for top honors.  Lambert shot a tournament-best 35 on the front nine and then closed with a 41 for an 18-hole score of 76.

Julia Porter came in third overall with a 78, while Nicole Johnson finished fourth with a 79.  Ali Restaino rounded out the top five with an 80.    Ali Arends tied for seventh with an 82 and Amy Lundstram came in 12th with a 95.

The dual match was slated as a tune-up for the Butler Spring Invitational, but the tournament has been postponed because of winter weather expected in the Indianapolis area on Monday and Tuesday, March 25-26.
