INDIANAPOLIS - Butler women's golf coach Bill Mattingly announced the signing of two players for the class of 2014.

Abigail Gleixner (Roncalli High School, Greenwood, IN) and Kelsey McDougall (Canton High School, Canton, MI) have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Bulldog golf team in the fall of 2014.

"I'm very excited to have Kelsey and Abbey joining us next fall as we move into the BIG EAST Conference this year," Mattingly said. "Both players played a very competitive summer schedule and continue to show the passion to take their game to a higher level. They are both outstanding in the classroom as well."

Abigail Gleixner is the youngest of Tracy and Mark Gleixner's four children. Her two brothers and one sister also played golf at Roncalli and all three played at the collegiate level. Her sister Anna currently plays for Eastern Kentucky. Abbey wrapped up her career at Roncalli with her fourth appearance in the Indiana High School State Championship. She was twice Marion County champion, two times sectional champion, a regional champion and a three time selection to the All State team. She had a career low round of 64 in winning the All Catholic Invitational this fall. Abbey plans on majoring in political science at Butler.

Kelsey McDougall is the oldest of Kristi and Chris McDougall's four children. She is a two-sport athlete at Canton High School where she played basketball and golf. She made her second trip to the Michigan State High School Division I Finals this year and finished fifth. She was selected to the All State team for the second consecutive year and also was named to the All State Academic Team. Kelsey plans to major in pre-med at Butler.

The team wrapped up their Fall 2013 schedule on October 29 at the Evansville Invitational, where they finished eighth out of 14 teams.
