Bulldogs Place 11th At MAC Preview
Junior Molly Fields placed among the Top 20 individuals and helped lift Butler to an 11th place team finish at the Duramed Mid-American Conference Preview, which wrapped up at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers on Tuesday (Oct. 13). The Bulldogs were one of 16 teams competing in the 54-hole tournament.

Butler Ties For Fifth Place In Fall Womens Golf Invitational
The Bulldogs picked up a pair of Top 10 individual performances and wound up tied for fifth place in the team standings at the Butler Fall Golf Invitational held at Eagle Creek Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 5-6. Butler climbed two spots in the team standings on the final day.

Bulldogs Win PTSIR Golf Performance Classic
Junior Molly Fields defeated sophomore teammate Michele Nash in a playoff to claim medalist honors and the two co-leaders helped pace Butler to the team title at the PTSIR Golf Performance Classic, which concluded at Lost Marsh Golf Course in Hammond, Ind., on Tuesday (Sept. 23). The Bulldogs led the 10-team field by seven strokes.

Junior Molly Fields wound up with a Top 15 individual finish to pace the Butler womens golf team at the season-opening Chris Bannister Gamecock Classic, which wrapped up at Silver Lakes on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail on Tuesday (Sept. 8). Butler finished sixth in the three-day tournament.

Soccer player Frank Patano and golfer Lauren Showers have been named recpients of Butler's Most Outstanding Athlete Award for 2008-09. The two standout performers were among four student-athletes recognized by the Butler athletic department with year-ending awards.

Butler womens golfers Clare Cornelius and Molly Fields have been named to the 2008-09 All-American Scholar Team for Division I by the National Golf Coaches Association. The two were among 410 womens collegiate golfers recognized in Divisions I, II and III.

The Butler University women's basketball, women's golf and women's tennis teams received national attention for their academic accomplishments on Wednesday (April 22) afternoon, as the programs earned 2008-09 NCAA Public Recognition Awards for their latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores. The awards are given to teams that rank in the top 10 percent of all programs in their respective sports.
