Stephen Armstrong Joins Butler Women's Soccer Staff
Stephen Armstrong, who played men’s soccer for Butler from 1996-99, has joined the BU women’s soccer coaching staff. Head coach Tari St. John made the announcement Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Butler Falls In PKs In Horizon League Tourney Opener
No. 5 seed Butler had a 2-0 lead but couldn’t hang on as No. 4 seed Loyola scored twice late to tie and prevailed in PKs, 4-3, in the first round of the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Championship Sunday afternoon at Loyola Soccer Park. Seniors Lindsey Fox and Carrie Twyman each scored a goal for the Bulldogs.

Four Bulldogs Honored On All-Horizon League Teams
Four Butler women’s soccer players earned All-Horizon League honors this season. Senior midfielder Molly Kruger was named first team All-Horizon League while defenders Sarah Phelps and Abbie Kaul were each second-team honorees. Freshman forward Katie Griswold was selected to the Horizon League All-Newcomer team.

In most sports at Butler, when you’re a senior and the Horizon League tournament comes around, you can’t help but reflect on your four years wearing the Blue and White. Such is the case with the four, 4-year players on the Butler women’s soccer team.

Loyola Edges Butler, 1-0
Loyola scored in the 30th minute and held Butler scoreless to defeat the BU women’s soccer team, 1-0, Sunday at Loyola Soccer Park. The match was the regular season finale for both teams.

Valparaiso scored twice in the second half to defeat the Butler women’s soccer team, 2-0, Friday at Valpo’s Eastgate Field. Jackie Kondratko and Rachel Hoaglin each scored to lead the Crusaders.

Muir, Bulldogs Finish Regular Season With Valpo, Loyola
Nobody has played Butler women’s soccer longer than Angie Muir. In a physical sport that is littered with injuries and transfers, but also can help pay for college, you’d probably guess somewhere along the line a player stayed on the Butler women’s soccer team for five years.

Bulldogs Tie At YSU, 1-1
Butler controlled play all day and had a lead in the second half, but Youngstown State scored late as the BU women’s soccer team tied Youngstown State, 1-1, Sunday afternoon. Senior Abbie Kaul scored for the Bulldogs, her third goal of the season.
