Title: Assistant Softball Coach

Casey Clutch is in her second season as an assistant softball coach at Butler University.  She joined the staff of head coach Scott Hall in 2010-11.

Clutch boasts a strong softball background as a player and coach.   She was a four-year starting pitcher at the University of Evansville, helping the Aces to a Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA Softball National Tournament.  During her time at Evansville, she was selected for the USA Women’s National Team Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.   She was a two-time NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and a member of the 2004 MVC All-Tournament Team.

Following her graduation from Evansville in 2005, she began her own business, Clutch Athletic Performance, Inc., providing softball instruction and sport specific strength and conditioning training.  She also continued her playing career with the Indiana Slammers, taking on player/coach duties in 2006.  Indiana’s premier women’s fastpitch team, the Indiana Slammers claimed USSSA East World Series championships in 2008 and 2009.  Clutch compiled a 28-0 record with 10 shutouts, 2007-09.

A four-year member of the MVC Honor Roll and two-time MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award winner, Clutch graduated cum laude with a degree in exercise science from Evansville.  She earned a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Coaching from Texas Women’s University in conjunction with the NFCA National Fastpitch Coaches College in 2007.
