Adami Leads Butler Against Xavier
INDIANAPOLIS - Freshman Konstantina Adami won in three sets to lead the Butler women's tennis team against Xavier. The Musketeers won in every other spot for a 6-1 win over BU.
Adami, playing No. 4 singles, held off XU's Kally Alkire in three sets. Alkire won the first set 6-1 but Adami controlled play the rest of the way 6-3, 6-2.
The other Bulldog who was competitive in singles action was Brittany Farmer at No. 3 singles. She won a first-set tie-breaker before falling in three sets to Daniella Patton. Xavier won all three doubles contests.
The Bulldogs host Middle Tennessee State and Evansville this weekend.
