WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Caroline Hedrick advanced to the consolation quarterfinal to lead the Butler women's tennis team at the ITA Regional at Purdue. Three Butler players competed in the tournament, which was the team's final fall competition.
After falling in the first round, Hedrick defeated Middle Tennessee State's Lexi Brand then advanced again in a default over Jenna Nurik of Chattanooga.
Butler also found success in doubles play, with Stephanie McLoughlin and Brittany Farmer picking up a victory over a duo from Miami (Ohio).
With the fall season complete, the Bulldogs now look ahead to January when they open the dual season against Dayton.
