Butler, Individuals Among National Stats Leaders

NCAA Volleyball Statistics Information

INDIANAPOLIS - Butler volleyball is ranked among the nation's top hitting and setting teams, according to the most recent NCAA statistics. Junior Jessica Wolfe, freshman Gina Vera and Butler as a team can be found among the nation's top performers.

Wolfe, a native of Plainfield, Ind., is currently 7th in the nation in both kills per set (4.79) and points per set (5.37). Both totals lead the Horizon League by wide margins.

Vera, a native of Joliet, Ill., currently stands 30th in the country with 10.91 assists per set. That total is also first in the Horizon League.

As a team, Butler ranks in the top 32 in three categories. BU is 22nd in the nation in kills per set (14.0), 25th in the country in assists per set (12.84) and 32nd with 16.19 digs per set.

Wolfe, Vera and Bulldog volleyball team (8-5) have four matches this week, beginning Thursday at 7 p.m. at Youngstown State. The match vs. YSU can be seen live on ButlerSports.com.
