Hello everyone! It has been a crazy couple of weeks here at BU. With Thanksgiving break only a few weeks away all of my classes are picking up speed. Volleyball is also picking up because we're nearing the HL Tournament and only the top six teams are entering this year and the first two teams get the bye in the first round. So, focusing on the court has been critical the past two weeks!
Two weeks ago, we were preparing for our trip to Ohio. We played Wright State on Friday, Oct. 23 and beat them in four! It was intense and a blocking-dominated match but it felt good to pull out the win and momentum into Saturday's match vs. Cleveland. To that point we were the only team in the HL to have beaten CSU so we came in with fire but couldn't keep anything in our favor. It was a long bus ride home but we went in to practice last week with fire for Valpo for Friday's match. It was our "Break the Record Night." We were trying to break the attendance record so we would have more support in our crowd for us to beat Valpo. It all went so well and we beat them in four! It was such an exciting match and our crowd was in with us until the end. It was a great win at home, probably my favorite all season
We had the weekend off which was nice and this week we're prepping for our last home matches vs. Loyola and UIC. It's going to be a battle because UIC is right behind us in the HL and we're right behind Valpo. Be sure to watch both matches on the HL Network video cast!
Go Dawgs!
