Ivie Obeime, who played volleyball at Indiana, came to Butler as Director of Volleyball Operations in the summer of 2012. In her position, she assists with administrative and promotional duties surrounding the program.
Obeime, a native of Carmel, Ind., played three seasons (2009-11) at Indiana as an undergrad. She appeared in 70 matches, starting 36 times and posting career averages of 2.01 kills and 0.44 digs per set. In 2010, she started 24 matches and helped IU to an NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance.
She played her high school career at Indianapolis powerhouse Brebeuf Jesuit, leading the team to a state championship in 2005. She was named second team All-Marion County in 2007 and won the Chief's Award in 20007, the highest honor a Brebeuf Jesuit student-athlete can receive. She also lettered three times in basketball and was a member of the 2007 3A Indiana State Basketball Championship squad.
Obeime earned a degree in human biology in 2012.
