Butler's men's tennis team continued its fall campaign with three days of competition at the Purdue Fall Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind.

The most impressive win of the weekend belonged to sophomore
Aviv Ben Shabat, who defeated Purdue's Benjamin Ugarte, 7-5, 6-7, 7-5, in the second round. Ugarte is ranked in the top 100 nationally. Ben Shabat went 2-1 in Flight A singles play on the weekend.

Mason Dragos matched that record in the flight. His weekend included a 3-6, 6-4, 12-10 win over DePaul's Alex Galoustian.

In the B flight, senior
Mikheil Khmiadashvili won two of his three matches, including a straight-sets win over Marquette's Andre Romanello.
Adrian Mag also competed in the B flight and had a win over Brandon Shanklin.

Ari Gerstein and
Spencer Lang each went 2-1 in C singles, a record that Lope Adelakun also posted in the D flight.

Freshman Sam Sullivan won the F singles bracket on Sunday morning, defeating opponents from IUPUI in both the semifinals and the championship match.

Dragos and Lang, as well as Ben Shabat and Gerstein, went 2-1 in the top flight of doubles. Mag and Khmiadashvili posted the same record in the B flight.

The Bulldogs return to action with the Valparaiso Indoor Invitational Oct. 14-16.
