Sam Gibson became the director of women's basketball operations at the start of the 2021-22 season. She held similar roles at Purdue and Louisiana before joining the Bulldogs.Â

Gibson graduated from Purdue University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and a certificate in entrepreneurship. She was a four-year football student manager in West Lafayette and would also intern with the Indianapolis Indians during the 2017 season.

A native of Greenwood Indiana, Gibson spent two years at Purdue working as the operations associate for the women's soccer and softball programs. She most recently worked with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns as the chief of staff for the volleyball program.

Gibson coordinated team travel and created itineraries at Purdue and Louisiana.
