The Butler volleyball program enjoyed a successful alumni event Saturday afternoon, welcoming 15 former players for a friendly match and a surprise locker room presentation. 

Players spanning from 1994-2007 joined the current Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The match was three sets long and was played with a mix of past and present scoring and libero rules, culminating with a 25-22 mixed (alumni and current players) teams.

Following the exhibition, the 15 alumni were taken into the volleyball locker room where head coach Sharon Clark and the Bulldogs unveiled the program's locker room renovation. The alumni had their names mounted into their former lockers.

"All of our alumni were not only surprised, but also touched," Clark said. "This project will keep our present and future players remembering those who set the legacy before them."

BU volleyball hopes to have another alumni event Saturday, Oct. 3, centered on Homecoming weekend.
