INDIANAPOLIS – First-year head coach Kurt Godlevske used the entire roster on Sunday afternoon as the Bulldogs took the court for the first time in the newly renovated Hinkle Fieldhouse. Butler won the exhibition contest vs. Northern Michigan by the final score of 67-47.

Butler shot 37 percent from the field and 36 percent from the 3-point line in the 20-point win. Defensive intensity was high on Sunday as the Bulldogs generated 22 points off turnovers by recording 17 steals.

Six different Bulldogs recorded two or more steals with red-shirt sophomore Loryn Goodwin leading the team with five. Goodwin stuffed the box score in her Butler debut with a game-high 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Ijeoma Uchendu was the second Bulldog to reach a double figure point total as she poured in 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting. The senior just missed a double-double performance as she also added nine rebounds.

Scoring was spread out for the most part with nine of 10 players scoring at least two points. Sydney Buck went 3-for-4 from distance to record nine points and Blaire Langlois added eight by hitting two, 3-point field goals and two free throw attempts.

The Bulldogs enjoyed a 36-23 advantage at the half en route to the 67-47 victory. Butler was able to keep a double digit cushion over the Wildcats by knocking down 14-of-15 from the charity stripe. Goodwin led the team at the line hitting seven of her eight attempts.

The exhibition game vs. Northern Michigan was scheduled to prepare Butler for the regular season opener which will be played at Valparaiso on Nov. 14. The home opener will follow two days later as the 'Dawgs host in-state rival Indiana State on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
