FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. – The 2014 women's tennis season came to an end on Saturday with the Bulldogs taking a 4-0 loss vs. Seton Hall in a consolation match on day three of the BIG EAST Championship Tournament.
No double matches were played between the two programs, but the Pirates would end up with the 4-0 sweep after taking care of business in the top of the singles lineup. Chloe Sher defeated Stephanie McLoughlin 6-2, 6-4 and Hannah Liljekvist won 6-0, 7-6 vs. Konstantina Adami.
Grace Hyde took a 6-1, 6-1 setback at No. 3 singles and Kailey Eaton was knocked off 6-1, 6-2 by Julia Keenan.
Angelina Qin was facing a 6-3 deficit in her match at No. 5 that ended as unfinished and Jocelyn Koester was dead even at 4-4 vs. Alex Lander at No. 6.
