INDIANAPOLIS -- The Butler men's tennis team will hit the court for the first time this season when they travel to River Forest, Ill. to compete in the River Forest Collegiate Invitational hosted by UIC. The eight-team tournament begins Friday, Sept. 12 and runs through Sunday. Action is set to begin at 10 a.m. each day.

The Bulldogs return all eight members of last year's team that finished with an overall record of 11-10. Highlighting the returnees will be Brandon Woods and Tommy Marx who tied for the singles team lead with 14 wins each.

Pulok Bhattacharya and Sam O'Neill will spearhead the top of the order playing at No. 1 and No. 2 singles a year ago. Bhattacharya ended last season with eight total wins and O'Neill was just behind the team lead with 13.

The brother tandem of Austin and Alex Woldmoe will return to the court for BU this season as one of the top doubles teams on the roster. The brothers posted a 6-6 overall record while playing together last year. The top doubles team for Butler heading into the 2014-15 season will be Bhattacharya and Brandon Woods who posted a 10-5 overall record last season.

Additional teams competing against Butler will include Belmont, Morehead State, Northern Illinois, UIC, St. Louis, Valparaiso and Youngstown State.
