Box Score 2 BOULDER, Colo. -- The Butler volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over Robert Morris on Friday night after posting a .356 attack percentage against the Colonials (25-17, 25-19, 25-16). Makayla Ferguson paced the offensive unit with a match-high 36 assists.
Belle Obert led the attack with 13 kills and three service aces. The Bulldogs also got production out of Mary Striedl and Erica Stahl at the net as each player sent seven kills to the hardwood while posting a .500 attack percentage.
"We did a great job offensively," Head Coach Sharon Clark said. "Our side out percentage was almost 70% and that will always lead you to a great game."
Stephanie Kranda was on point against Robert Morris going for nine kills with just one error, giving her a .421 percenatage. The senior added two blocks and a dig to her stat line.
"Stephanie Kranda was unstoppable offensively and Marissa Collier passed very well," Clark added.
Team defense was another key to the sweep as five different Bulldogs recorded five digs or more. Jadyn Yarling was the top Bulldog in that category with eight and Obert was close behind with seven.
The Bulldogs will return to action tomorrow with a pair of matches in the Omni Invitational. The first-ever meeting between Butler and Idaho will get underway at noon. The nighcap will feature Butler and host Colorado doing battle at 9:30 p.m.
