Box Score OMAHA, NEB. -- Butler only scored in one inning, but that was all the Bulldogs needed to pull out a 7-5 come-from-behind victory over host Creighton at the CU Sports Complex on Sunday (March 22). The win gave helped the Bulldogs capture their opening BIG EAST series, 2-1.
Creighton (14-6), which had split its first two games with the Bulldogs, looked to be well on its way to winning the series with a 5-0 lead through four innings of the finale on Sunday.

Butler (14-11) unloaded seven runs on four hits to turn the complexion of the game. Five of the seven runs scored with two outs, fueled by the long ball.

Senior Kristen Boros slugged a three-run, home run to left field, her third of the series, to tie the game, and Alex Kotter followed with a triple down the left field line. Brandyce Sallee then delivered the eventual game-winner with a home run to right field.
Sophomore Kacey Starwalt, who came on to pitch in the third inning, blanked the Bluejays on three hits over the final three frames to earn her fifth win in six decisions.
Boros, who batted .636 in the conference series, led Butler's offense with two hits and three RBI's. She had seven hits and seven RBI's in the three games!
