CHICAGO – The Butler women's tennis team took a 6-1 loss at DePaul on Saturday afternoon. Bailey Padgett highlighted the day for Butler with an impressive 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 win at No. 2.

The doubles point went to the Blue Demons with DePaul sweeping all three matches. Padgett and Haviland were defeated 8-2 at No. 1 while the team of Angelina Qin and Grace Hyde took an 8-0 loss at No. 2. Michelle McFerran and Rachel Sutton rounded out the lineup with an 8-0 loss at No. 3.

All five matches outside of No. 2 singles went to DePaul in straight-sets. Haviland was defeated 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 and Qin took the 6-0, 6-2 setback at No. 3

Sutton was defeated in her match at No. 4 6-1, 6-2 and Hyde was defeated 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5. The final Bulldog to make an appearance on Saturday was Michelle McFerran at No. 6. She was defeated 6-1, 6-3.
