Butler's pitching was once again on point as Jeff Schank earned the win after going seven full innings against the Hoyas. The lefty limited G'Town to five hits and two earned runs while striking out six.
Kyle Allen served as the set-up man and Danny Pobereyko came in for the save. Allen allowed two hits during his frame which resulted in one run, but Pobereyko blazed the opposition in the ninth to strike out two of the three batters he faced.
