MADISON, Wis. – Butler's first road contest of the season came down to the wire as the Wisconsin Badgers protected their home court to record a 60-55 victory at the Kohl Center on Sunday afternoon. BU took a two-point lead into the final 10 minutes, but wouldn't be able to pull out the win dropping their overall record to 2-2.

The two-point cushion was the result of a 14-12 BU lead after the first quarter. Both teams scored 11 in the second and came out of the half to score 14 points each in the third. The fourth went to the Badgers as the home team closed out the game 23-16.

Young and McMorris scored a majority of their points from the free throw line going 20-for-26 combined. Young only made two field goals against BU, two more than McMorris (0-7).

Butler ended the game with three more made field goals than their opponent, but the Badgers would shoot 72 percent from the free throw line (18-25) to earn the win.

BU only recorded three assists on 17 made field goals and were hit with 21 turnovers which resulted in 21 Badger points. Butler's defense however would keep them in the game as the Bulldogs notched nine steals and three blocked shots allowing Wisconsin to shoot just 30 percent from the field.
