One-Two Punch
Tori Schickel and Kristen Spolyar are two of the top scorers in the BIG EAST Conference. Spolyar is a threat from the perimeter while Schickel carves out space in the paint to do a majority of her damage. Each player is 17-for-24 from the charity stripe, averaging over 14 points per game. The duo leads BU in scoring and also rank first and second on the team in steals. Schickel is the team leader in double-doubles with two and speaking of two, Spolyar has already earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors twice this season.

All-Time Series
Butler and TCU met for the first time in program history just one year ago with Butler recording a 65-53 win inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. Belle Obert led BU to victory by recording a triple-double. The 6-2 forward scored 12 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked 10 shots to lead Butler to victory. Tori Schickel impacted the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. TCU was led by Zahna Medley who posted 13 points. Jada Butts and Jordan Moore chipped in with eight points each.

Keys To The Game
Butler will look to slow down the tempo of Wednesday night's game to keep the scoring in the high 50's, low 60's. BU averages 60 points per game through the first five games of the 2016-17 season while the Horned Frogs enter the tilt averaging 77.4 ppg. Turnovers will once again be a stat to keep an eye on for BU. The 'Dawgs average 19 turnovers a game compared to just 12 per game for TCU. The Horned Frogs have been winning the turnover battle against opponents early in the year (+5.6).

Short Bench
The Bulldogs have not played a single game this season with a full complement of players. Brittany Ward has been inactive for all five games this season and Sydney Shelton has been limited to just one contest, the season opener. Taylor Buford has been sidelined for a majority of the season and junior shooting guard Sydney Buck is now out with a lower extremity injury. BU did welcome back point guard Alexa Bailey last week who missed time at the start of the season with a concussion.

Build Off Success
Alexa Bailey and Kaela Hodges provided Butler with a spark off the bench during the game against UCF. The duo combined for 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Each player posted seven points with Bailey going 3-for-3 from the field. She dished out a team-high five assists and added two boards. Hodges went 2-for-3 from the field and 3-for-5 from the stripe. She pulled down four rebounds, two offensive and two defensive.

Double Up
Sophomore Tori Schickel posted her second double-double of the season against UCF with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Her first came in a win over Bradley where she notched 21 points while pulling down a season-high 11 rebounds. Schickel has led the team in rebounds during each game this season. She is shooting 49 percent from the field and logging 35 minutes of playing time per game.

Block Out
Butler lost the rebound battle for the first time this season in the loss to UCF. The Knights pulled down 37 boards, 10 more than BU.

Home Court Advantage
Butler will play on the road for just the second time this season when they visit TCU on Wednesday. BU lost at Wisconsin back on Nov. 20, 60-55. TCU is 4-0 at home with their lone setback coming at #1 Notre Dame.

Indiana All-Stars
The 2016-17 women's basketball roster features seven former Indiana All-Stars. Whitney Jennings, Sydney Buck (2014), Brittany Ward, Alexa Bailey, Tori Schickel (2015), Sydney Shelton and Kristen Spolyar (2016) all earned the honor after stellar high school careers.

National Rankings
Butler ranks 77th in the NCAA with 52 steals. Tori Schickel ranks 48th in rebounds per game (9.8), 42nd in steals per game (3.0) and 85th in minutes played per game (35.0).

Up Next
Butler will return to Hinkle Fieldhouse this weekend for a pair of non-conference games. BU will host South Florida Friday night at 7 PM and end the weekend with a 1 PM tilt vs. Ball State on Sunday.
