Hollatz and Arcuri Pace @ButlerUGolf at Spring Invitational

Gehrig Hollatz and Joey Arcuri tied for second place individually as the host Bulldogs placed fourth in the Butler Spring Invitational Monday and Tuesday (March 21-22) at Prestwick Country Club in Avon, Ind. Hollatz earned the second-place trophy as they worked up the scorecard to break the tie.

Daniel Franco Saad earned the individual title for Robert Morris, which placed second behind IUPUI in the team competition.
 

Butler's team score of 631 featured matching 151 two-day totals from Hollatz and Arcuri. Arcuri fired the team's low score on Tuesday (74). Brigham Stewart finished with a score of 162 to tie for 19th. He was followed by Zack Carrabine (167, T-23rd) and Max Gagnier (180, 32nd).

Playing as individuals, Ricky Kuiper (157), Hunter Byram (168) and Iain Ferlmann (170) rounded out the Butler performances. Kuiper finished in 15th position.
 

IUPUI won the event with a two-round total of 611. They were followed by Robert Morris (617), Wittenberg (619), Butler (631), a second IUPUI team (648), and Chicago State (665).

The Bulldogs return to action April 5 at the Big Four Classic at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
